She laves his nipple before moving to the other one to nip and suck on it. Damon groans as she plays with the hard nubs, and she lets her fingers massage them as her tongue and lips move down to his abdomen. He is absolutely beautiful with his hard body, perfect six-pack, and silky skin. It is like he was made for her pleasure, her personal man-toy.
Pulling his slacks open, Mia looks up at him mischievously as she settles between his legs and kneels on the floor. She pulls his engorged dick out of his pants and runs her hand up and down the silky shaft, admiring the thick and long member.
Her thumb catches the shining droplet of pre-cum on the tip and massages it into the slit of the head. Damon throws back his head and groans loudly, which makes Mia’s pussy throb with need.
Ignoring her own need, Mia says, “Do you want to fuck me, Damon?”
He opens his eyes and looks down at her as she continues to stroke his shaft. His eyes are filled with need, and she knows exactly what she is doing to him. “No,” he says, “I want to make love with you.”
The words cause her to falter, and she looks down at his engorged member in her hands. He is giving her something here...something more than sex and desire. He is giving her the control that she has been lacking since the first night they slept together.
Excitement courses through her, but so does hesitation. Before today, Damon was always the one in control. He would play her body like a well-known instrument, plucking out the perfect cords that would shatter her and send her into mind-numbing orgasms. He was the one in control...always and now he was giving her a turn. A turn to not feel so lost.
His eyes have turned challenging, and she accepts it when she smiles at him. Mia isn’t sure how to start, since she’s never done this before, but she licks her lips and chuckles in triumph when he sucks in a deep breath.
Leaning forward, her tongue darts out and she swipes at the head of his cock. Damon curses and leans back against the couch, his eyes fixed on her as she looks up and licks his cock again. The taste of him is salty, and Mia loves it.
Licking her lips, she nibbles at the tip and grins as Damon thrusts his hands into her hair as he groans in ecstasy. Pulling the head between her lips, she sucks it before sliding the length of him into her mouth.
Gagging slightly, she stops when his shaft is as far as she can take him. He is so big, and she loosens her throat and slowly slides the rest of his cock into her mouth as she gets used to it. “Fuck Mia,” he exclaims when she has swallowed his entire length, “that is so fucking good.”
Her tongue presses against the shaft as she slowly slides it out of her mouth again, biting the tip gently when she does. Then she sucks it back up as her hands play with his testicles. “Fuck yeah,” he groans.
Mia grins around his cock and sucks on it again, her mouth working up and down the tender flesh as Damon writhes under her. Her pussy thrums in beat with his groans, and her hands continue to stroke and massage his sack.
Damon begins to shake as he holds in his orgasm, and Mia groans around his shaft. Her pussy is so tender right now, and she is positive that she is going to cum with him. “Mia,” he begs, “stop, I’m going to come if you don’t stop.”
Looking up at him, she whispers against his cock, “Then come,” before she swallows his length again.
“Oh fuck,” he cries out, and his hands spasm in her hair.
His climax shoots into her mouth, deep into her throat, and her own orgasm rocks her core. She sucks him dry, swallowing every last drop that he has to give her.
When he finally stops, she lays her head in his lap and looks up at him as she wipes her lips clean. Sucking his release from her fingertips, she smiles as he swears again. “You didn’t have to do that,” he says.
“I know, but I wanted to. You taste so good. I want to take you again and feel you in my mouth,” she murmurs and smiles in triumph when she feels his shaft twitch in excitement.
“Oh, do you like that?” she purrs.
“Hell yeah,” his eyes are still hot with desire, and it sends a shiver of excitement through her. “Now take off those jeans and fuck me baby.”
She laughs and tisks at him, “Uh-uh, you said you wanted me to make love with you.”
Still, she stands up and slides her jeans and panties off. Staring at his growing erection, she licks her lips. She is so hot and so tempted to take him with her mouth again, but she needs to feel him inside of her.
Straddling him, she positions his shaft at her entrance as his hands cup her breasts. She grins the moment before she slams down onto his cock, her hips rocking as she takes the full length of him. Her cries of pleasure fill the room and mingle with his as he rips her shirt open—buttons flying around them.
He pulls the ruined shirt from her body, and then his hot mouth is on her nipples as his hands cup her ass. He lifts her up and then allows her to slam back down on his shaft, which sends dancing colors across her vision.
Her nails dig into his chest and shoulder as she tries to match his rhythm, but all she can do is hold on as he ravishes her breasts and assaults her body.
Her climax is building so quickly that she feels like she is being swept away. Panting at the need building inside her, Mia finally catches Damon’s rhythm, and she pulls his mouth up to meet hers. Rocking back and forth on his shaft, her clit rubs against his stomach and sends tingling desire through her.
His tongue sweeps into her mouth and they kiss and nip and moan into each other’s mouth. Finally, as he thrusts one last time, she hears him roaring out his climax as she screams out hers, and then they collapse into each other against the couch—breathless.
“That was amazing,” Damon finally manages, and Mia laughs. “I should let you take charge more often.”
Shifting against him, Mia feels him stiffening inside of her. “Already?” she asks.
“I am always ready for you,” he says, a twinkle in his eye, “but let’s take this somewhere more comfortable.”
Extricating himself from her limbs, he stands up, and she can’t help but look at his hardness, already getting thicker with need. He grins and lifts her up in his arms before he carries her to the bedroom. Looking over his shoulder at the kitchen, Mia asks, “But what about the groceries?”
“To hell with the groceries, I want you right now,” he says as he shuts the bedroom door with his foot behind them.
Chapter Four
“That was amazing,” Mia sighs as she snuggles against Damon.
The last lovemaking session had been sweet and tender, and Damon had shown her new heights that her body could be taken to. She felt completely sated, and all the worries that had plagued her a few hours before were gone. No matter what anyone else thought, this was right for them.
“I agree,” he says as he rubs her back.
Mia sighs again and snuggles deeper into him. She is almost asleep when he says, “I need to go out again tonight.”
As though she has been punched in the stomach, all the fear, pain, and doubt comes flooding back to her. Oh God, why did he have to say that now?
Her voice cracks as she asks, “Why?”
Damon shifts slightly and pulls her tighter against him. She is trapped against his chest and can’t look up into his face as he says, “Because I am meeting with Deacon.”
Questions flood her brain, and she tries to think of who Deacon is. Is he someone from the gang? Is he someone Damon has to kill? Feeling like a child whose parents have left her out of the loop, Mia asks, “Who is Deacon?”
“He’s second in charge of the gang.” His voice is cold and deadly—like it was in Mia’s apartment back home.
“Are you sure that is safe?”
Damon runs his hand through her hair as though to soothe her, but Mia isn’t sure if he is soothing her or soothing himself, “I doubt it’s safe, but I have to try this. I waited for as long as I could, but everything is in place to meet with him.”
Mia nods, tears threatening to fall, “I want to go with you,” sh
e says.
“No,” Damon stiffens, “you will not be coming with me.”
His voice is firm, and Mia knows there is no sense arguing with him. Maybe she could... “And you will not be following me, either. For me to focus, I need to know that you will be here, that you won’t be anywhere near me tonight, anywhere near Deacon. If they know they can get to me through you, they will use you...and kill you.”
He shifts so he can look into her eyes, “Promise me you will stay put tonight.”
Mia shifts her gaze to the bedroom door behind him. All she wants to do is stay with him and keep him safe. “Mia, promise me,” he says, shaking her gently to get her attention again.
Closing her eyes, she takes in a deep breath. “I promise, but promise me that you’ll be safe. That you’ll come back to me.”
Groaning, he pulls her into his embrace, “Mia, only death will keep me away from you.”
The tears sting as they start to fall. “That’s what I’m afraid of,” she sobs.
“Hey, hey,” he soothes, “I waited this long to meet with Deacon because I was waiting for the safest time to do it. My backup is here and will have Deacon in their sights from the moment he steps into view. Also, Deacon knows that I have plenty of evidence to bury the entire gang. All that evidence has been copied and is ready to be sent to the right authorities if something happens to me. He can’t kill me without killing himself and everyone in the gang.”
“But what if he thinks you’re bluffing? What if he decides the risk is better than you leaving the gang alive?”
“Then that is the chance I have to take...for us, Mia. I want a future with you, a future where we can have kids without being worried that something will happen to us.”
His words make her sob harder, and Damon rocks her until she is silent in his arms, “Mia, I love you, and I need to finish this. I can’t have a future with you if I am a criminal, and I am so tired of the life I have thrown myself into.”
“I know, I understand,” she says quietly, “but it doesn’t change how I feel or how scared I am.”
“I know, baby,” he kisses her eyelids tenderly. “But I have the best of the best as backup. Someone who escaped the gang and can help us escape, as well. This person knows exactly what to do to be free of them permanently.”
“Do you trust him?” she asks.
“With your life,” he says and breathes in the scent of her deeply as though he is memorizing it. “Look Mia, if the worst happens and they decide that I’m bluffing, which I’m not, you will need to get out of here as fast as possible. There is someone who will get you to safety. I left an envelope in the dresser drawer for you. If...”
Mia interrupts him, unable to bring herself to listen to his words, “You are going to be fine. They are going to let you go.”
Damon cups her chin and forces her to look up at him, “I wish that were true, but there are always if’s. If something happens to me, you take the envelope. It gives you all my money and my entire estate. Then you go with the person that I send for you. Got it. Promise me that you will do that.”
Hesitating, Mia thinks, I will want to die with you, before she nods her head slowly as tears pour freely down her face, “I promise. If anything happens, I will take the envelope and run.”
Searching her eyes, he stares into them for several minutes before he finally nods as though he sees the sincerity in them. Mia isn’t sure if she is as convinced by her performance as he is.
He snuggles against her, and they lay like that for several minutes before Mia asks, “Why did you come home if you knew you had to go back out? You could have gone and done this without me even knowing.”
“I wanted to see you before everything,” he says, and Mia knows what he is leaving out...he wanted to see her in case something happened to him.
“Plus, your mom phoned me today. She’s worried about you being in Chicago by yourself. She said that you sounded odd when she talked to you last and was wondering if I had heard from you.”
Mia blushes and buries her nose deeper into his chest. She had been so ashamed of what she was doing with Damon that she had lied to her mother. She had told her an exciting course had taken her to Chicago for a semester, and she hadn’t known she had gotten the opportunity until the last minute.
She hadn’t mentioned Damon, hadn’t mentioned any of the reasons that had sent her fleeing. All she had asked was that her mom get her mail for her and water her plants. The first time her mom had and phoned her back, Mia had been terrified that Damon had lied and her mom had found the bodies.
Instead, she had mentioned that she loved the hardwood floors Mia had installed throughout the apartment and the new paint scheme. It had been a relief to know that there was no evidence of what Damon had done.
“I didn’t tell her about us,” Mia said blandly to Damon.
“Yeah, I figured as much,” he said and his voice was just as bland. “I played along, Mia. Said I hadn’t seen you since I visited all those months ago. But you need to tell her eventually.”
“Did you tell your dad?” she asked defensively.
“No, I didn’t,” he snapped, “but I wanted to. I wanted to yell it from the heavens, but I wanted to wait until you wrapped your head around us. Until you accept that we are meant to be together and that you belong to me. I was waiting for you.”
Guilt colored her cheeks even darker, and she nodded, “I know, I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be sorry,” he says. “I know that it is going to take time, but I want you to know that I’m willing to wait for you to be ready. I know that when you are ready to tell them, they will be happy for us; it just may take them some time.”
Tears spring to her eyes and she swipes at them, cursing herself for how much she has been crying lately, “I know they will. I’ll call her tonight and tell her that there is nothing to worry about...”
“And that you are madly in love with me,” his smile widens and he winks.
“Well, maybe but maybe not,” Mia laughs. “When do you have to leave to meet Deacon?”
Glancing at the clock, Damon grimaces and says, “In about an hour. I still have some time.”
“For dinner?”
“No, to make love to you,” and then he kisses her and Mia forgets all about what tonight could become.
Chapter Five
“I know, Mom. I’m sorry for worrying you, but I have been under a lot of stress with this class,” Mia says into the phone as she glances at the clock for the millionth time.
It has been six hours since Damon had left to go and meet with his gang, and Mia had spent the time worrying away at everything. They had made love with tears in Mia’s eyes, but she had swallowed the pain and refused to admit that the lovemaking had been a goodbye. She couldn’t live without Damon, as much as she had promised that she would.
After he left, she had stood at the door with her keys in her hand for an hour. She had wanted to follow him and actually headed out into the hallway to the elevator several times, only to return to the condo and lock herself inside.
Once, she had even managed to get into the elevator and ride it down to the lobby. When the security guards raised an eyebrow in question, she had forced a fake laugh and said she’d hit the wrong number. She was looking for the gym.
Thankfully, she was dressed in yoga pants, t-shirt, and runners so she went down the final floor and spent an hour jogging on the treadmill until she couldn’t stand the effort. There had been a few other residents of the building in there, but they were all lost in their own iPods and equipment—grinding out their stress of the day through cardio and weight lifting.
When she had cooled down, she had grabbed a bottle of water and headed back up to the penthouse to find it as empty as before she went down. She’d known after ten minutes, any hope of her following Damon was gone, but it still didn’t stop her from heading to the door over and over again.
To calm her nerves, she took a long shower and dressed up in a t-shirt and
jeans before pulling one of Damon’s sweaters over her head. It fell to her knees and the arms were so long on her, she had to roll them up, but it smelled like him and made her feel like her world was safe and secure.
But none of that stopped her from checking the door, the clock and then her phone. It was an endless circle that she followed...door...clock...phone, door...clock...phone, and she felt like she was going insane from it.
Finally, she found herself sitting on Damon’s side of the bed, tears in her eyes as she thumbed the thick, manila envelope with her name on it. She didn’t open it—that would mean she’d given up hope that he would come back to her—but she traced every edge of that envelope. She memorized the scroll of his handwriting, the way he shaped her name. She worried at the glued edges of the flap, wondering if it would tear open on its own.
She wondered what was in it. Did he write her a letter telling her how much he loved her? Did it just contain legal documents? Was it a will? Or was it all the evidence he had collected over the years?
If it was the latter, should she open it? It would only confirm what she already knew—that he was a hired killer and had been for years. All of the hits he did for the gang could be spelled out in photos and ink and it could be waiting in there, ready to strike. Like an adder sinking its poisonous fangs into her arms, seeing his past in cold, hard evidence may be even harder for her to overcome.
After a half hour of this torture, Mia finally threw the envelope back into the drawer and slammed it shut. Picking up the phone, she dialed her mom’s cell number and waited for her to pick up.
“Hello,” the tone was sleepy, and Mia winced inwardly, glancing at the clock and realizing it was after midnight.
Trying to make her tone happy, Mia said, “Hi Mom, I’m sorry, did I wake you up?”
“Mia? Is something wrong,” her mom asked and her voice sounded instantly alert. Like it always was the moment Mia needed her. It had been this way since she was a little girl.
