Bad Fighter Stepbrother (Book 2) Page 2
The small beads were hard, and she laved each nipple before she bit the flesh around them. Aiden growled in excitement, and Emma felt a gush of wetness between her legs. Her body had never responded to a man like it did to Aiden. She suddenly needed him inside of her, so she fumbled with the button of his jeans. Pulling the fabric down, along with his underwear, Emma palmed his shaft. Aiden captured her hand and stopped her. His eyes searched hers as he said, “We don’t need to do this, Emma. We can wait until we figure everything else out.”
Emma smiled. Some part of her had needed to hear that, even if she didn’t plan to listen to it. She lowered herself down onto her knees and looked up at him. “I need to do this,” she said and then her tongue flicked out and licked the drop of pre-cum on the head of his penis. “For me.”
Aiden bucked under her touch, and she smiled at how he reacted to her. She moved closer and wrapped her hand around the base of his shaft as her other hand cupped his balls. She slid her hand up his silky shaft and marvelled at how soft his skin felt. Her thumb played over the slit of his cock and she massaged more pre-cum into the tip.
She flicked her tongue over it and moaned at the salty taste. “Fuck, Emma, you are going to kill me,” Aiden moaned.
Looking up at him, Emma wrapped her mouth around the head of his cock and then slowly swallowed him. He slid into her mouth, and she relaxed her throat to allow him to slide down it. He closed his eyes, and his fingers sank into her hair as she swallowed him until she couldn’t take any more without gagging. She was surprised at the length of his shaft as she wrapped her hand around the base.
She pulled him out of her mouth slowly and then swallowed him again. She took him even deeper than the first time, and he cursed again, his hands flexing in her hair. He tasted amazing, and she felt victorious that she could bring him to such a base state. Her body thrummed with need and her clit ached for his hands, but she ignored what her body needed and focused on what she wanted instead.
Swallowing him again, she allowed her teeth to rake across his skin as she pulled him out. He hissed and then moaned as she soothed the skin with her tongue. She worked her mouth up and down his shaft as he began to thrust into her mouth, matching her movement with his own. She took him all and sucked as he shuddered under her.
He opened up his eyes and she looked up into his. His teeth were clenched as he shuddered again, and she knew he was close. Her own body hummed with need, and she slipped her hand down between her legs. She pressed on that tense spot between her legs and felt her own orgasm start to build as she continued to stroke and suck his cock.
Aiden moaned. “I’m going to come, fuck, Em,” he panted as he tried to control his orgasm, but Emma sucked him even harder and he came undone. He cried out, and his yell was hoarse as his cum sprayed into the back of her mouth. She swallowed every drop of him as her own orgasm shattered through her and left her feeling as fragile as a glass figurine.
She licked the tip of his cock like it was an ice cream cone and pulled away. He was staring down at her, his eyes heavy with satisfaction as he said, “I wasn’t expecting that type of homecoming...the wrench, definitely, your delectable mouth on my cock, not at all.”
Emma felt the burning blush in her cheeks and she went to smile, but then she felt the crashing guilt fill her. What had she done? Over the last week and a half, she had promised herself that she wouldn’t do anything sexual with Aiden and here she was, not even fifteen minutes after he arrived home, she was on her knees sucking him off.
Before she could voice her horror, she heard the chime on the door ring out as someone opened it and then a voice rang through the office, “Emma, dear?” Jackie, her one o’clock appointment was here early. “It’s me. Jackie.”
Emma cast a look of fear towards Aiden as she stood up and quickly moved to the door, “Yes, Jackie. I am just fixing the tub so give me a second to clean up, and I will be right with you.”
She turned towards Aiden and found him pulling up his pants. “I have to go and treat my patient. Can we arrange some time to talk? Tonight?”
Aiden smiled and reached for her, but Emma danced out of his reach. He frowned. “Honestly, I have to go. Jackie is waiting and I need to go and brush my teeth. Tonight?”
She slipped out of the door as though she was being chased by a demon and maybe she was – only this demon hung onto her throughout the rest of the day and filled her with guilt at what she had done.
Chapter Three
“Honey? Is that you?” Her mom’s voice filled the air, and Emma felt a fresh stab of guilt. She hung up her purse and coat and leaned against the door of the mudroom. The last person she wanted to see was her mom...actually, she only wanted to see one person and he seemed to be missing.
She’d been tied up with Jackie for over an hour and then she’d had two more appointments. She wasn’t sure how he did it, but sometime during one of the sessions, he had slid out of the gym without anyone noticing. She hadn’t noticed until she went into the room he’d been in and found it empty.
Emma glanced out the window in the door and thought about heading back outside, then she turned and saw her mom standing in the doorway to the kitchen. Her eyes were filled with concern and Emma gave her a meek smile, “Hi, Mom. Sorry, it was just me.”
Her mom’s eyes filled with concern, and she asked, “What’s wrong?”
Tears pricked at her eyes as Emma said, “Nothing, just a long day. The hydrotherapy tub is broken, and I think I may have made it worse trying to fix it by myself. Plus, a client is not progressing as well as I would like and she wants to get back to training for her next marathon. I can’t give her the all clear.”
Emma felt even more guilt wash over her, but she bit it down. Although she hadn’t lied about her problems today, she’d left out the biggest problem: Aiden. “Why don’t you come into the kitchen and I will make you a cup of cocoa.”
She smiled at the offer and nodded before she followed her mom into the kitchen. Despite being raised as a debutante, Alison was as at home in the kitchen as she was in the stables and she made the best hot chocolate around. Sitting down at the island, she watched her mom move around the kitchen. She was tall and graceful and her blonde hair had a small amount of silver in it. She didn’t look a day over thirty-five and her eyes usually sparkled with laughter.
Today, they were filled with concern as she watched Emma. “Are you sure you’re okay?”
“Yeah, just really tired. What are you and Tony doing tonight?” she asked in an effort to change the subject.
Mom paused and looked like she was hesitant to say anything before she said, “Packing.”
“What? Why?” Emma asked in surprise as Mom placed the hot chocolate on the counter in front of her.
“Because we are going with Aiden tomorrow morning. Tony was so excited about the last fight that he decided to join him on the circuit for the next two weeks. It ends with a huge fight in Vegas and then we will all be coming home,” Alison said as she took a sip of her own hot chocolate.
Emma stared at her mother in disbelief. He came home for one day and now he was leaving. Why the hell hadn’t he said anything? “Why didn’t you say anything sooner?” Emma asked, completely stunned.
“I just found out. Actually, Aiden had come home to let us know that his schedule had been changed around. He needs to be with his trainer right now and focusing on his matches. He had a fight while he was away and almost lost...his head wasn’t in the ring.” Her mom glanced at her again with concern in her eyes and Emma wondered if she knew about them...about the things that were happening between them.
“Are you okay with us going? Derek is supposed to be coming home for a few weeks at the end of the month when your grandmother will be home from her trip to Paris. Until then, however, you will be alone. I can stay if you would like me to.”
I want Aiden to stay, she thought silently, but said, “No, it’s okay. I don’t mind being alone. Besides the ranch is always full of people.”
Her mom nodded and smiled. “I know, why don’t you ask Julia to move into the main house while we’re gone.”
Emma nodded numbly as her mind raced over the afternoon’s activities. She’d given him a blowjob and he didn’t have the decency to tell her he was only here for a night. She felt used, betrayed, and all she wanted to do was cry. She stared down at her hot chocolate as her mom talked about the trip and the two fights Aiden would have while they were gone, but she didn’t really hear her.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Emma interrupted her mom, “I’m going to go for a walk. I need to clear my head after today. Don’t hold dinner for me.”
She stood up and headed towards the mudroom and the escape outside as her mother watched her in shock.
****
Emma stared at the black stallion prancing around his paddock and longed to go and saddle up one of the horses. She could definitely use a ride right now, but Julia would kill her if she injured one of the horses. The sun was setting and she knew she would end up riding in the dark if she saddled up now.
Sighing, she just watched their pride and joy. He seemed completely worry free and she wished she could be like him. She didn’t want this guilt niggling away at her, and she didn’t want to be attracted to Aiden. But the truth was, she was definitely attracted to him – but it was more than that. She felt a connection that was deeper than the physical...a connection that had always been there, if she was honest with herself.
She couldn’t keep her hands off of him and she wanted to explore all of that, but she also couldn’t overcome the guilt of lying about their relationship. What would happen to her mom and Tony if they decided to pursue this relationship? What would happen to their family if they failed as a couple and ended up fighting? How could she create such strife for her family because she felt a connection?
Tears stung her eyes and she swiped at them as the stallion cantered towards her. He nudged her arm when he reached the fence and she slid her hands over his soft muzzle. He was surprisingly gentle for a stallion, and he nuzzled against her as she cried into his neck. She cried for a long time until she heard a throat being cleared behind her.
Turning, she grimaced at the man standing behind her, a bouquet of wild flowers in his hand. “What do you want, Aiden?” She snapped the question and almost apologized when she saw him flinch. No, I have every right to be angry.
“I wanted to spend time with you. Actually, I had come to the gym to talk to you about the next few weeks, but we got sidetracked.” He took a step forward, and Emma held up her hand to stop him.
“No, you don’t get to be rational. You lied...maybe it was through omission, but you still lied. I don’t know why, but I’m constantly being hurt by you. Every time we are physical, I get hurt.” Fresh tears filled her eyes. “What we did is wrong and we need to stop.”
He stopped walking towards her and his flowers drooped to his side. His eyes filled with sorrow as he said, “There is nothing wrong with what we are doing. We are attracted to each other, and we need to see where this goes.”
“No, it is. You are my stepbrother. How is us being together going to affect our family? What happens after this ends?” The tears were running down her face freely again and she didn’t wipe them away.
“Emma,” he began, his voice hoarse, “I am not your stepbrother. Sure, my dad is married to your mom, but we are just two people who share a common connection in our family. We aren’t committing a sin, we aren’t doing anything illegal, and we have no idea what the future will hold for us.”
He moved towards her and dropped the flowers on the ground. He cupped her cheeks in his palms and placed his mouth against hers. The kiss was bittersweet, and Emma clung to it as he swept her away. She could taste the salt of her tears in their kiss and despite the way her heart was breaking, she knew what she had to do. She had to do it for herself, for her family, and for Aiden...even if he didn’t agree.
Pulling away, she broke the kiss and wiped it from her lips. “It doesn’t matter how you rationalize it. This won’t work between us. You ran away at the first sign of something happening and then you came back for one day. You are leaving tomorrow, so I have no idea how you expect us to sort through stuff when you are not here.”
He winced, “How did you...”
“Mom told me that she was going with you and Tony. The problem is you didn’t tell me when you came and saw me.” Her voice cracked like her heart.
“I was going to, but we got...distracted. I was going to ask you to come with us tonight.”
Her laugh split the air and was filled with sorrow and anger. “How could I do that? I have clients who need me here, and I have a life. I can’t just up and leave everything on a moment’s notice. You should know that.”
He shook his head, “Em...”
“Don’t, don’t say anything else,” she interrupted him and took a step away. “You go and live your life, but us...whatever the hell we were doing, ends now. There is no future for us, and I don’t want to spend my life feeling guilty about the way you touched me and the way I touched you. I just want to forget.”
His fists clenched, and his jaw tightened as anger began to flash in his eyes. “Really, you think it will be that easy.”
She shook her head and tried to walk away, but he grabbed her arm and wrenched her against him. Her hands splayed on his chest, and she felt his heat beckoning to her. His eyes searched hers. “You feel it, too. Don’t lie and say that you don’t feel it.” He lowered his lips to her mouth, and she forced herself not give in like her body wanted her to.
He pulled away roughly and glared into her eyes. Her mouth felt bruised from the force of his kiss. It was like he was staking claim to her shattered heart. “You don’t get to walk away from this, Emma. We are going to talk now or when I get back in two weeks.”
He searched her eyes as she shook her head, “Please, I can’t,” she pleaded. “This has to end tonight for everyone.”
Shaking her gently, he placed another soul-searing kiss to her lips before letting her go. She stumbled slightly as he did. “Two weeks. I will give you two weeks to work through your guilt and then we will talk, Em.”
He turned on his heel and stormed away from her. Emma felt her heart give a final lurch and she almost called out to him to stop. Sinking to the ground, she stared at the riot of color in the forgotten bouquet of flowers.
Chapter Four
Emma stared out the window at the rainy landscape and sighed. The house felt empty and devoid of life. It was definitely devoid of laughter since her mom and Tony had left with Aiden. She’d promised to invite Julia to stay in the main house, but she couldn’t bring herself to ask her. She’d wanted to be alone, and her mood did not make her good company.
She spent the last week working and drifting through the house like a ghost. She’d been overwhelmed with sadness and the guilt of what she’d done with Aiden still ate at her. But what was worse was that she wanted to see his face. She wanted to head into her gym and find him moving around the equipment.
What she wanted was to hear him tell her about all the things he wanted to do with his life. Talk to him about his passion for healing injured fighters. It was inevitable that a fighter would obtain a serious injury, and he wanted to help them overcome the inability to enter the ring again. Despite everything, she liked having him for company.
The shrill sound of the phone filled the room, and she jumped at the noise. She moved towards the handset and picked it up. “Hello?”
“Emma? It’s Mom.”
Emma felt her heart dance into her throat. She sounded upset, like she’d been crying and her mom rarely cried. Emma said, “Is everything okay? Are you okay? Tony?” Aiden, she added silently.
“Yes, yes. I’m okay and so is Tony, but Aiden was injured in the ring last night.”
Tears stung at Emma’s eyes as she asked, “How bad? Is he okay?”
She turned and stared out at the rain-soaked world behind
the glass, but all she could see was Aiden’s sad eyes the night he had left her near the paddock. “He suffered a pectoral tear last night. The dumb man decided to keep fighting and won his match despite being in pain. He is in surgery right now.”
A pectoral tear! The surgery could fix it, but it would be six weeks in a sling and then several weeks of physio to strengthen the area. Plus, it could mean that he never went into the ring again, depending on how bad it was. He was looking at at least three months off, maybe even half a year. “How bad is it?” she asked.
“The doctors said it was a small tear, not a full one, so with surgery and proper exercise and physio, he shouldn’t suffer any long-term repercussions. The doctor has mentioned retirement though because it only opens him up for more injuries in the future,” her mom explained.
“I know. I have worked with this type of injury before,” Emma said. She glanced at the time, it was just past noon and she could see about catching a late flight. “Where are you? Should I fly out?”
“No, Aiden didn’t want you to know, but I have phoned everyone else, including your brother. I thought you should know. We are going to stay in LA with him for the next few weeks and then he is going to come to our house to recuperate.”
The tears slipped down her cheeks and she swiped them away. “Okay, will you keep me posted on how his surgery goes?” she asked.
“Of course, sweetheart.” The pause was so long that Emma wondered if her mom had hung up before she said, “Would you be willing to do physio with him?”
Emma nodded before she replying, “Of course, you didn’t have to ask me that.”
“Well, I wasn’t sure...considering...oh, Tony, I’ll be right there,” Alison said. “Sorry, sweetheart, Tony is calling me. I have to go. I will talk to you soon. Love ya.”
A soft click sounded in her ear, and Emma realized the connection had been severed. She stared at the phone, her mind reeling by what had happened. Aiden was injured and it could ruin his career. It stopped the headlining fight in a week’s time for sure and probably put him out of the cage for at least six months, if not longer.
